How Does Laser Hair Removal Treatment Work?
Each hair follicle goes through different stages in the hair growth cycle. The stages are Anagen(growth), Catagen (transient), and Telogen (resting). During treatment the laser light will damage the hair follicles that are in Anagen (growth) phase. Therefore, subsequent treatments are necessary, as not every follicle may be in the anagen phase each time. The number of treatments will be determined at your consultation after an analysis of the hair. Treatments are usually between 4–10 weeks apart depending on the area.
Laser is a form of light treatment. The Soprano ICE system delivers a multitude wavelength of light. The powerful burst of multiple wavelengths of light to the hair causes damage to the hair follicle, as the melanin (dark pigment) absorbs the light and heats the hair, thereby removing the possibility of regrowth of that follicle.
How Is The Procedure Performed?
The treatment area must be shaved. Then clear gel is applied to the skin and the laser glides over the gel. Previously some lasers were painful, but with our modern technology the treatments are quick and pain free.
Is It Safe?

Results
Although there is a dramatic reduction of unwanted hair, it is likely that a few hair follicles will not be fully destroyed by light treatment. Some people may experience some hair growth within a year, but this will only be the odd hair here or there and will be insignificant compared to the original density of the hair prior to any treatment. Many of our clients are extremely happy with their results!
